ABOUT US

Community Transformative Agents (COTA) is a not-for-profit Community-Based Organization registered in 2013. To address; poverty, Teenage Pregnancy, Gender Based and Sexual Violence and HIV/AIDS, Violent crime among other social vices. Our vision is, driving poverty out of Africa and having a youth responsible and progressive society, via empowering vulnerable communities by addressing their needs through advancing a holistic approach. Through: One, through economic empowerment, after several years and in order achieve sustainable development, we registered COTA SACCO so that we can effectively inculcate a savings culture which is a catalyst of progressive growth and sustainability. Two, Skills transfer is an efficacy to sustainable development, and it is against this backdrop that we registered Jaston College to offer Aproved and Accredited Vocational Skills Training then Connecting Young People to Internships and Job Placements. The Fees is subsidized to meet administrative expenses. Three, we plant trees and conduct community/street clean ups, then divide the areas and distribute linear bags to youth groups to collect garbage at a small fee so that they can sustain their lives. Four, through Provision of food basket and clothes to the vulnerable in the community, offering mentorships and distribution of stationeries to pupils. Be part of our journey!

JASTON COLLEGE (Vocational Training)

To promote equal and lifelong opportunities we train the following courses then Connect Young People to Internships and Job Placements. The Fees is subsidized to meet administrative expenses. The courses include; Cosmetology (Hairdressing, Beauty& Nails), Fashion and Garment Making, Computer Application Packages, Catering, Baking & Pastry, Employability Skills and Entrepreneurship, Film and Photography.

CHARITABLE ACTIVITES, SOCIAL AID AND SANITARY TOWELS BANK

Education, Clothes and Food and Nutrition: Provision of food basket and clothes to the vulnerable in the community. Offering mentorships and distribution of stationeries and sanitary towels for pupils in schools so that they do not miss school when undergoing their menstrual cycle within the informal settlements.

COTA SACCO LTD (Economic Empowerment)

After several years and in order to achieve sustainable development, we registered COTA SACCO so that we can effectively inculcate a savings culture which is a catalyst of progressive growth and sustainability. Hence we now encourage members to save and train them on Business skills, Entrepreneurship, Starting and Expanding of businesses and grow financially.

WATER, SANITATION AND HYGIENE

Conducting Tree planting and community/street clean ups then divide the areas among youth groups and distribute linear bags for youth groups to collect garbage at a small fee so that they can sustain their lives and tree planting.
