2.     Events Management Assistants

Job Purpose: Implementing strategies, policies & systems on even management by planning and organizing promotional, business and social events with the aim of creating an experiential & captivating ambience of the facility.

Responsibilities:

  1. Assist in implementing policies and strategies on event management at the facility
  2. Assist in preparing detailed proposals for events including but not limited to timeliness, suppliers, legal obligations, staffing & budgets;
  3. Troubleshooting and addressing the various event issues to ensure that all runs smoothly and to budget;
  4. Implementing the various protocols on car parking, traffic control, first aid, hospitality and the media;
  5. Documenting the exact event requirements for all the clients foor the purpose of planning for execution;
  6. Dismantling and removal of event set up and clear the venue facility;
  7. Assist in undertaking post event evaluation and preparing reports to inform the execution of future events;

3.     Senior Accounts Assistant

Grade: KFCB 7

Job Purpose: Responsible for assisting in verifying and examining financial accounting information.

Responsibilities

  1. Examining payment vouchers and committal documents in accordance with laid down financial rules and regulations
  2. Preparing payment vouchers, Imprest and committal documents in accordance with laid down financial rules and regulations;
  3. Carrying out bank reconciliation;
  4. Verifying data entered into cashbooks, ledgers, vote books, registers;
  5. Verifying and receipting of all monies due and payable to the Board;
  6. Safe custody of Accountable Documents under his/her sections(s);
  7. Ensuring proper maintenance of efficient filling systems; and
  8. Safe keeping of invoices, receipts and other accounts records
  9. Verification of petty cash

4.     Senior Driver

Grade: KFCB 9

Job Purpose: Responsible for providing driving and logistical services for proper and safe handling of the Board’s motor vehicles and transportation of the Board’s employees and goods in the execution of their mandate.

Responsibilities

  1. Providing driving and logistic services allocated by the office for all official trips;
  2. Maintaining and updating daily vehicle movement log and schedule and ensuring all trips are pre-authorized by the relevant officer before embarking on the trip;
  3. Carrying out routine checks on the vehicles for detection of malfunctioning of vehicle systems
  4. Ensuring that the vehicle is well maintained and has all the required certificates and licenses as per the traffic Act
  5. Develop and maintain a schedule for regular car service appointments and ensure any issue arising is reported
  6. Ensure that there is documented proper tracking of service intervals
  7. Organize for vehicle repairs in liaison with the Supply Chain and Administration Office
  8. Efficient and timely delivery of relevant documents with confirmed signed delivery books/acknowledgement notes
  9. Ensuring security and safety of the vehicle on and off the road;
  10. Ensure effective fuel management of the allocated vehicle;
  11. Overseeing safety of the passengers and/or goods therein; and
  12. Maintaining cleanliness of the vehicle.

  1. Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education mean grade D(Plain) or equivalent qualifications
  2. Valid driving license free from any current endorsements and valid for any of the classes of vehicles which the officer is required to drive;
  3. Defensive driving certificate from Automobile association (AA) of Kenya or its equivalent qualification from a recognized Institution;
  4. Passed the Suitability Test for Drivers Grade I;

Job Purpose: Responsible for ensuring that the office functions efficiently and smoothly by providing clerical, secretarial and administrative support to other employees working in the office.

Responsibilities

  • Providing visitors with refreshments while they wait;
  • Preparing outgoing mails for distribution;
  • Perform administrative and routine clerical tasks
  • Sorting and distributing incoming mails;
  • Assist with event planning;
  • Perform general office duties and related errands;
  • Retrieve information when requested; and
  • Preparation of tea/coffee for staff and supply during the allocated times including during various staff meetings

6.     Compliance Assistant

Job Purpose: To assist in implementing the film and broadcast content regulation policies, guidelines, projects and strategic objectives to enhance compliance with the Films and Stage Plays Act, Cap 222 and other relevant legislations

Responsibilities

  1. Carrying out activities towards enforcing broadcasters’ compliance to Cap 222, KICA and other relevant laws in the interest of protecting children from potentially harmful broadcast content;
  2. Monitoring TV channels, radio stations and online video/film streaming services/platforms twenty-four hours (24/7) a week for compliance to Cap 222 and KICA provisions on broadcasters’ responsibilities versus child protection from potentially harmful broadcast content ;
  3. Assisting in compiling daily media monitoring reports and submit to the supervisor
  4. Retrieving and viewing suspect broadcast/media content as and when required for advisory and legal purposes
  5. Assisting in compiling customer feedback/complaints reports in regard to broadcast/media content;
  6. Checking on daily basis the working status of the broadcast monitoring equipment allocated and report on any trouble shooting need
  7. Ensuring the office equipment and space is clean

  3. Assisting with filing duplicates for filming licenses issued;

8.     Senior Film Classification Assistant

Job Purpose

To assist execution of Board’s mandate of regulating possession, public exhibition and distribution of film, through examining every film and poster for purposes of classification and imposing age restriction on viewership with the aim of promoting National aspiration and values, and protection of children from harmful film and broadcast content as prescribed by the Films and Stage Plays Act Cap 222 and other relevant legislations.

Responsibilities

Duties and responsibilities will include:

  1. Updating and maintaining film classification catalogues;
  2. Receiving and filing application for film examination and classification;
  3. Issuing film classification catalogues to clients;
  4. Preparing film classification reports;
  5. Receiving and filing application for film examination and classification of content;
  6. Updating and maintaining film classification catalogues; of examined and classified audio-visual content;
  7. Filling forms and maintaining a register of clients who, have applied for film and content classification; and
  8. Assisting in preparation of classification reports.

9.     Licensing Assistant

Job Purpose:

Responsible for providing technical support on all activities related to film licensing, including functions related to data management of all individual licensing applications.

Responsibilities

The duties and responsibilities will include:

  1. Approving and filing of application forms and issue notes for distributors and exhibitors;
  2. Assisting in the issuance of Film regulatory licenses to video/film exhibitors and distributors;
  3. Assisting in the issuance classification labels & film classification catalogues to distribution and exhibition outlets and the general public;
  4. Monitoring of video shows and cinema theatre twenty-four hours (24/7) a week for compliance with the Films and Stage Plays Act Cap 222;
  5. Assisting in monitoring of film exhibition and distribution outlets, for compliance with Cap 222, Laws of Kenya;

Responsibilities;

  1. Ensuring quality goods and services from the suppliers to maintain the standards of the procurement function;
  2. Maintaining and updating a list of registered suppliers;
  3. Ensuring efficient discharge of inventory activities, disposal of stores and equipment;
  4. Ensuring safe custody of all procurement records;
  5. Implementing existing regulations, procedures and procurement manual;

Responsibilities

The duties and responsibilities will include:

  1. Issuing filming licenses;
  2. Maintaining film registration registers;
  3. Compiling performance reports;
  4. Conducting field inspections in filming locations in the country;
  5. Receiving clients’ complaints; and
  6. Compiling customer feedback.

15.                         Internal Auditor

Job Purpose: Provide an independent, objective assurance to the Board on effectiveness of Risk Management, Internal controls and Governance processes.

Responsibilities:

  1. Conducting variety of auditing work of prescribed scope and complexity
  2. Identifying and advising risks affecting the audit area.
  3. Preparation of internal audit work plan
  4. Identifying any accounting errors, fraud and initiating investigations
  5. Reviewing and recommending the strengthening of internal control systems
  6. Providing assurance that the financial statements are in conformity with laws and statues governing the Board.

  1. Bachelor’s degree in any of the following disciplines; Commerce (Accounting/Finance option), Economics, Mathematics, Statistics, Business Administration or equivalent qualification from recognized institution.
