Internship Opportunities

Job Purpose:

 The Human Resource Intern is responsible for facilitating HR operational functions and day to day activities of the HR Office; in line with the HR policies and practices.

Responsibilities 

  •  Daily check, verification and confirmation of staff attendance; up-date the leave schedule
  • Maintain employee database by ensuring filing of documents as and when received
  • Periodic review of employee files to ensure that all required documents are in
  • Facilitate employee medical assistance and sick offs as per the limits provided
  • Coordinate internal and external trainings and ensure that course content, assessment forms and attendance sheets are filled and filed in the Training File
  • Coordinate and plan Stock Take activities by collating the activities scheduled and communicating to staff
  • Facilitating recruitment process by conducting entry interviews and maintaining interview feedback summaries
  • Conducting employee reference checks for selected candidates’ prior final selection and placement
  • Conduct and coordinate the induction and orientation process for all new employees and ensure that the timelines set are adhered to
  • Maintain accurate records for payroll processing – leave, attendance; etc…
  • Attending the OSHA meetings and recording minutes as discussed by members
  • Issuance of PPE and stationery while maintaining accurate records; and making requisitions for stock replenishment
  • Track and monitor stationery usage and up-date the status record periodically
  • Facilitate progress reviews and appraisals as per the set schedules and coordinate with the HODs to ensure that the process is well done
  • Daily check on the Plant status to ensure that agreed housekeeping standards are maintained
  • Review of daily hygiene checks and ensure operating guidelines are maintained
  • Facilitating internal correspondence on agreed communication; further, assist in coordinating external correspondence
  • Facilitate disciplinary management on occurrences against agreed policies and procedures
  • Support and facilitate formulation, review and implementation of policies, processes and procedures
  •   Coordinating and undertaking projects assigned and presenting reports on the same per the timelines provided
  • Offer support services in line with Staff Welfare including guidance and counseling
  •  Any other duties not necessarily mentioned which are in line with the position of a HR Assistant
